Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting and CDN). Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, time of access, requested page and browser details to deliver the site and protect it against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA.
No cookies, local storage only
This site does not set cookies itself. Preferences such as theme, currency, calculator entries, chart drawings and alerts are stored only in your browser's localStorage on your device and are not transmitted to us.
Fonts, price data and TradingView
Fonts are self-hosted; there is no connection to Google Fonts. Price data is fetched from our own server. Optional TradingView content on the chart page (chart, technical summary, economic calendar) loads only after you click to activate it; TradingView's privacy policy then applies. Our server obtains prices from gold-api.com, Yahoo Finance, open.er-api.com and the ECB (via frankfurter.dev) without passing on any data about you.
Analytics and advertising
We currently use no analytics. Any future advertising (e.g. Google AdSense) would only be activated with a consent banner, and this policy would be updated.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact: kontakt@goldpreisgermany.com.
